包玉书先生 包玉書先生，一九一一年生於浙江鎮海，從家譜追溯爲宋朝名臣包拯的二十九代世孫。父親包兆龍，母親陳賽琴。包玉書先生爲長子，次子爲享譽全球的“世界船王“包玉剛先生，兄妹共七人。 包玉書先生啓蒙于家鄉葉氏中興學堂，早年在上海從事金融貿易等業務，赴港後，助胞弟包玉剛先生拓展航運事業。擔任《環球航運公司》新加坡公司總裁。 1980年初，鄧小平在北京接見了包兆龍父子，爲表示希望國家富強的心願，包老先生率先向祖國捐贈北京兆龍飯店，開創了海外華人爲振興祖國捐贈事業的先河。 1984年初，鄧小平再次接見了包玉書、包玉剛兄妹一行，希望包氏家族能關心寧波的建設事業，提出了“寧波幫、幫寧波”。此次會談，在近20多年寧波的發展史中，起到了歷史性作用，也促成了包氏兄妹當年金秋攜手回鄉，開啓了包氏家族振興祖國，幫助家鄉建設的事業。 玉書先生在祖國的慈善事業，始於家鄉鎮海鍾包村，玉書先生和兩個妹妹素菊和麗泰捐資把村裏的泥濘小路改造成寬敞的水泥路。以父親名字命名的“兆龍學校”辦成了方圓十幾裏最好的學校，不但使村裏的孩子們告別了冬寒夏暑的學習環境，而且有眾多的鄰村的學生前往求學。由此之後，玉書先生對家鄉建設的支援接連不斷，取父名中的“龍”，取母名中的“賽”來命名捐資項目不斷在家鄉各處出現，“龍賽醫院”、“龍賽中學”、“龍賽體育中心及老年活動中心”等等，捐資額也越來越大。其弟玉星先生十幾年來每年春節前以“ 履安堂”名譽給鎮海江北幾十間老人院送衣物食品。九十年代，玉書先生又把捐資助學的範圍擴展到浙南的一些貧困山區，助建希望學校十餘所，爲更多的孩子們創造接受教育的良好環境，龍賽成了包氏兄妹助醫、興學的象徵，更凝聚成包氏兄妹造福鄉梓，無私奉獻的精神。玉書先生對浙江省的教育、文化、醫療及體育、社會公益事發展做出了突出的貢獻。浙江省和寧波市政府分別授予玉書先生爲“浙江省愛鄉楷模”和“寧波市榮譽市民”的光榮稱號。 1986年由包玉剛先生捐資創建建寧波歷史上第一座高等學府—寧波大學。鄧小平親筆爲校名題字。玉書先生更是一直關心和支持寧波大學的發展和建設，相繼捐建教學樓、“龍賽的理科樓”。2002年又捐資幫助大學建成了面積達四萬多平方米，規模宏大的建築群體。寧波大學以“包玉書科學樓”命名，以表達對玉書先生的敬意。至此，寧波大學的各項教學設施更臻完善。在包氏兄妹共同創建，社會各界賢達的鼎力相助，以及政府的支持下，寧波大學已成爲頗具規模的綜合性大學。 玉書先生宅心仁厚，待人謙和誠懇，性情寬厚而淡泊，歷經一個世紀的風雨坎坷，一直笑對人生，樂觀豁達。 對任何困苦和不公正對待均坦然處之，自得其樂。 無論清貧還是富有，都保持勤儉的生活方式，知足常樂。 扶弱助貧，反哺社會，助人爲樂。 “龍賽教育基金會”正是玉書先生高瞻遠矚，造福社會的長遠計畫。秉承爲培養年輕一代奮發進取，服務社會的精神，鼓勵優秀教師和品學兼優的學子成材立志。 特設立“玉書獎教金”和“玉書助學金”，願“龍賽精神”發揚光大。 about mr.pao mr. bao yushu was born in 1915 in zhenhai, zhejiang. according to the pedigree, he is the 29-generation of bao zheng, who was a famous official of song dynasty. his father is bao zhaolong and mother is chen saiqin. mr. bao yushu is the eldest son, and bao yugang is the second son who enjoyed the prestige of “the world lord of ships”. the family has 7 brothers & sisters in all. mr. bao yushu was enlightened in ye’s zhong xin school in his hometown. he engaged in financial trade cause and others in shanghai in his early age. after that he helped his younger brother bao yugong to develop the shipping industry in hong kong and shouldered the ceo of the branch in singapore of the global shipping company. in early 1980, deng xiaoping met with bao zhaolong and his son in beijing. to express the desire that the country could become more prosperous, mr. bao donated his zhaolong hotel in beijing to the motherland. and that took overseas chinese the initiative in reviving the cause of the motherland donation campaign. in the beginning of 1984, deng xiaoping met with pao yugong and his brothers and sisters once again. he encouraged the pao family to take part in the development of ningbo and raised “ningbonese, help ningbo.” this meeting not only played a historic role in the development of ningbo in the last two decades but also made bao’s go back to their hometown and opened up the revitalization of the motherland’s. mr. yushu started charity in his hometown zhongbao village, zhenhai. the narrow muddy paths there had been rebuilt into wide cement roads with the donation by mr.bao and his sisters bao suju and litai. the school, which is named after his father “zhaolong “, has become one of the best schools in the area under their efforts. this school offers good study conditions and attracted many students from other villages . from then on, mr. yushu continued supporting the hometown construction. the charity events which is named after his father and mother can be seen all around his hometown, such as “ long sai hospital”, “ long sai middle school”, “ long sai sports center”and “ activity center for the olds” and so on. at the same time the amount of donation is growing. in the 1990s, mr. yushu expanded his charity to some poor mountainous areas in the south of zhejiang province. he established more than 10 charity schools to create favorable environments for more children to receive education. “long sai” became the symbol of the pao family’s charity affairs and the spirit of selfless dedication as well. mr. bao yushu made outstanding contributions to the development of education, culture, health sports and social welfare in zhejiang. zhejiang province and ningbo local governments awarded mr. bao yushu in glorious titles as “ model of loving hometown” and “honorary citizens of ningbo city” respectively. mr. bao yugong helped to built the first higher institute in 1986 in ningbo – ningbo university. deng xiaoping personally wrote an inscription for the schools. mr. bao yushu is always concerns himself with supporting the development and construction of ningbo university, and the teaching buildings and “long sai science building” of ningbo university were with the help of his donation. he also contributed in 2002 to help the university build large-scale construction groups with a floor area of 40,000 square meters. ningbo university named a science building after mr. bao yushu to show its respect for him. thus, the teaching facilities of ningbo university are improved with a joint effort from the bao’s, the society and the government, the ningbo university has become a full-scale comprehensive university. kind, sincere and modesty, mr. yu shu is unperturbed at any hardship and justice whether poor or rich, he maintains thrift lifestyle through his life. happy is he who is content. he dedicates his life to helping the poor. after experiencing a century of frustration, mr. yu shu still keeps an optimistic spirit for life all the time. mr. bao is now 90 years old, but still maintains a healthy spirit and a quick mind. “long sai education foundation” is the long-term plan of mr. bao to benefit the society from cultivating the younger generations to forging ahead and the spirit of service to the community, encouraging the best teachers and students to
